Why Your Support is more Important today than ever

Message from the Fire Commissioners and the Chief:

We have all been touched by these hard economic times and, over the past years, the Nokomis Volunteer Fire Department (NVFD) has seen a decrease in dues/ donations.  We have cut operating expenses and continue to provide the same level of service.

The NVFD is a non-profit organization that serves the Nokomis, Laurel, South Osprey, and all of Casey Key.  The benefits to having a volunteer fire department are numerous, including a significant cost savings to the residents of the area served by the NVFD. 

  Without your continued support, 62 years of tradition could be lost.

Your prompt attention to this request will be a substantial savings to you.
